Q. 1) What countries do you ship to?

A.) We ship to all countries within Europe. Our checkout holds rates for most countries within Europe. If you don't see your country listed, please send us an email and we will get a quote for you. We can ship worldwide, however rates can sometimes far, far exceed the actual price of the product itself, so may be uneconomical. If you live within the USA, Canada or South America or need a CarCapsule shipped there, please visit our parent site within the USA: http://www.carcapsule.com/

Q. 2) What does it cost to run the Carcapsule per year

A.) The single fan indoor Carcapsule including the power adaptor consumes just 10.5 watts. The triple fan outdoor Carcapsule including the power adaptor consumes just 38 watts. Q. 3) If you are bringing in air from the outside you are also bringing in the moisture from the outside. How does the vehicle stay dry?

A.) The CarCapsule does not eliminate humidity it eliminates condensation. The high speed fan exchanges the air by volume 3-4 times an hour. Sudden changes in temperature are eliminated within the enclosure, preventing condensation, moisture and dampness.


Q. 4) If I put my car away wet, what will happen?

A.) The CarCapsule is an evaporative system. The constant air change will evaporate all moisture in a matter of hours. This will prevent rust from forming on the exterior parts while eliminating mold and mildew from the interior.


Q. 5) Should I leave the windows up or down inside the CarCapsule?

A.) You should leave the windows either down all the way or at least half the way down. If you have a convertible the top should be put up so that it will not trap moisture in the compartment it is stored in. This will let the air circulate throughout the interior keeping it dry and odor free.


Q. 6) What size are the CarCapsules, and what size do I need for my car?

If your car is the exact size of the CarCapsule it should not pose a problem, other than you will need to be very accurate when rolling the vehicle onto the base mat. Q. 8) Can you give me the specification of the fans, and how many are there?

A.) Fan spec: Size: 120x120mm. Voltage: 12vDC. Wattage: 10w. Speed: 3100rpm. Air flow: 138CFM. Noise level: 48dBA. Indoor CarCapsule has a single fan. Outdoor CarCapsule has a 3 fan assembly.


Q. 9) Do you supply a power adaptor to suit my countries voltage and socket configuration?

A.) Yes we have 3 different power adaptors in total, one to suit all countries we supply. The relevant power adaptor will be included with your CarCapsule. The three available are as follows:

  1. PDKPOWER1A Indoor type:100-240V/50-60Hz with 2 interchangeable pins (3 pin square & 2 pin round)
  2. PDKPOWER3AUK Outdoor type: 220-240V/50Hz with 3 pin square
  3. PDKPOWER3AEU Outdoor type: 220-240V/50Hz with 2 pin round



Q. 10) How long will the CarCapsule last?

A.) The prototypes were built in 1988 and are still in use today.


Q. 11) What if something falls on the CarCapsule while my vehicle is in it?

A.) We have dropped a five pound sledge hammer on top of the CarCapsule and it just bounced off. It will also protect against kids playing/cycling nearby and any garden impliments that may fall over in your garage. See these videos: Youtube1 Youtube2


Q. 12) What temperature can CarCapsule operate in?

A.) CarCapsule can operate safely between -34 & +79 degrees Celsius [-30 &+175 degrees Fahrenheit approx.].


Q. 13) Can I use the transparent Indoor CarCapsule outside?

A.) No! If you use the Indoor CarCapsule outside the suns rays will only enter the capsule and heat the interior, similar to that of a glasshouse. The fan will not be able to overcome this, and it will defeat the concept of the unit.
